Oregano

Robust herb which is aromatic, warm, and has a mild peppery flavor and an earthy aroma. Often used on roasted, fried, or grilled vegetables, pork, chicken, and fish, in sauces, stuffing, and potatoes. Common in Italian cuisine. Use 6 teaspoons of ground oregano for every 2 tsp chopped fresh oregano. Pairs well with basil, bay, chives, cilantro, garlic, marjoram, mint, parsley, savory, and thyme.
